Once Upon a Time in The Cafe
Director
Overview
Grounded in a dual British media education (BUE/LSBU) and rigorous industry mentorship, I write and direct documentary, drama, and sci-fi films. My dedication to cinematic storytelling has earned my short films top honors, including Best Documentary at the university level and Jury Prizes at both the Zawya and 6th Egypt Dot-Bokra short film festivals. Key projects in my portfolio include directing the narrative short “Absentia” and serving as Assistant Director on “Once Upon a Time in the Cafe”.
Active Contributions
Directing & Narrative Storytelling: Wrote and directed “Absentia,” a compelling drama that deeply explored one of the most profound human relationships: the intricate bond between a mother and her son.
Assistant Directing: Served as Assistant Director on “Once Upon a Time in the Cafe,” collaborating closely on set with the brilliant up-and-coming director Noha Adel (director and writer of Spring Enters Laughing).
Award-Winning Production Standard: Leveraged my academic foundation and mentorship to maintain high artistic and technical standards, resulting in festival-recognized films that successfully translate profound human concepts into engaging visual narratives.
