Overview

Grounded in a dual British media education (BUE/LSBU) and industry mentorship, I write and direct award-winning documentary films that capture unique social and cultural narratives. My dedication to the craft has earned top honors, including Best Documentary at the university level and Jury Prizes at both the Zawya and 6th Egypt Dot-Bokra short film festivals. Among my most notable works in this genre are “Girls Make Documentary” and an innovative film covering the “Matariya Ramadan Celebration”.

Active Contributions

Empowering Narratives (“Girls Make Documentary”): Directed and produced a documentary highlighting an ambitious group of young women across Egypt, focusing on their drive to learn and succeed in a filmmaking field where women are still vastly underrepresented.

Unique Directorial Vision: Approached the massive Matariya event with a distinct, fresh cinematic perspective, setting the film apart from any other traditional artistic works or media coverage previously created about the celebration.

Award-Winning Production: Leveraged my strong academic foundation and industry mentorship to write and direct high-quality films that not only document reality but also elevate it through engaging, festival-worthy visual storytelling.
